Sons of Bragg

Sons of Bragg.
First to explain more or less what a fell caller is. In battle if troll forces were overrun and started falling back the fell caller is a hero that sings in battle and they are normally equipped with a large torch to be seen easily. So, easy to see and easy to hear makes them a place where other troops could go to rally and fight back. In game terms they are support models that hand out buffs through their songs (calls) and help units of models. The Sons of Bragg are 3 legendary fell callers who also happen to be brothers. If that means brothers in arms or actual blood brothers I don't know. They have songs that they sing and unfortunately only help themselves with them. They each have a little different weapon load out so they can fill different jobs depending on what they need to do and I think they do that well. Here are all 3 of them together.
Starting off with Wrathar, he is the one in charge here and carries a great sword that has a longer reach than his brothers. With them being average speed charging 8" so having a 2" reach is always helpful.
When the unit activates it can choose one of 3 songs to sing and all 3 are affected by only that one song. One makes them stand up if they had fallen. The second allows them to make tough rolls while knocked down (normally you just die). The third and my favorite gives +2 Dmg to their attack.

+2 Dmg puts Wrathar hitting Mat7 with a weapon master P=S 14 get him Madrak 2 feat and he will plow through infantry like nobody's business.
Next up Rudd
Rudd gets 2 attacks and is also a weapon master. He can put a dent in beast/jacks and does well with heavier targets thanks to the 2 attacks. He is the most like the champs and this unit competes with the champs for table time because they are similar in what they do. With ferver up he hits harder though.
The last and my personal favorite of the 3 is Tor
In my opinion Tor is the reason to take the Sons of Bragg. He only gets one attack on the charge and that is weapon master P+S 10 but he has a sonic blast that he can unleash on the charge. It is an 8" spray attack that with some skill can be unleashed at great angles to cause awesome, jaw dropping, infantry clearing attacks. With the call of Ferver up the spray is a pow 14 and even though he is only rat6 if it hits it will cause pain.

They did take a little away from these guys because back in the day Ferver also granted +2 to hit making it a rat8 spray and mat9 attacks they cleared house. They also had a call that granted them Tough rolls on 4+ rather than just 5+. Since I typically play 35 point games because of time constraints these guys don't get on the table much because at that point size I feel like I am cramming all my eggs into one basket and these guys even though on paper seem durable I find they get removed quick without a screen and if I am going to be putting points into a screen I normally buy into the supports to run the screen better. I have been thinking up lists specifically to take these guys and I do hope to get them on the table and watch them do their thing.
I have always felt like Rudd is belching the way his mount is open but maybe he is just hitting one of those notes that are just outside his range and has to contort his face to get there.
